As CEO and Founder at Axon, Dr. Bak invented and oversaw development of the record sharing and visual indexing system that revolutionized the way patients and physicians interact with an e-medical record. Dr. Bak has helped various countries with their e-Health strategies and implementation, assisted regional authorities with health IT implementations and is the architect of North America’s first fully digital hospital — Humber River Hospital’s — digital vision.

Kovo CFO Inder Saini is a Chartered Professional Accountant with extensive expertise in the healthcare industry. Before joining Kovo, he led the creation of the financial and IT infrastructure at Neighbourly Pharmacy (TSX:NBLY) — from inception to its over $2B market cap IPO.

Meade Atkinson, Kovo’s Chief Revenue Officer is focused on building motivated, results-oriented teams to power Kovo’s revenue growth. A renowned sales leader and medical billing expert with a 20-year track record of excellence, Mr. Atkinson has consistently led teams that outperform revenue growth and competitiveness goals. Before joining Kovo, Mr. Atkinson held CRO positions at PractiseSuite, 2, Health Prime and Genesis Healthcare Solutions. He also serves on the Boards of The Beryl Institute and SurgeryLink.

Kovo’s Chief Compliance Officer Jeana Noble has been leading medical Biling-as-a-Service (RCM) processes for the past 25 years — and supports clients in all aspects of e-health compliance. Jeana is the Co-Founder of Medworxs, a leading cloud-based medical billing company, which was recently acquired by Kovo.

Kovo CTO Eddie Chan is a seasoned, forward-thinking technology executive known for his successful track record of driving business objectives through continuous innovation. Before joining Kovo, Eddie played a pivotal role as CTO of Versapay, where he led the re-shaping of the company’s technological landscape before it was acquired and taken private. His extensive expertise lies in managing complex bleeding-edge projects, delivering customer-centric solutions, and strategically propelling growth in the ever-evolving technology sector.
Independent Director, Audit Committee Chair
Mr. Gahunia has completed over $150M in financings for a wide range of companies — and sits on multiple Boards of health-tech, digital transformation and AI leaders. Mr. Gahunia started his career at Deloitte, working with innovative clients that included Bell New Ventures, Virgin Mobile and Optiva as a telecommunications specialist in the Toronto, Canada and Sydney Australia offices. Mr. Gahunia recently exited Coinberry as its CFO after the company was sold to Wonderfi Technologies. A Chartered Accountant, Harp is the Chair of Kovo’s Audit Committee.
Michael is a serial entrepreneur with over forty years of international business experience in a multitude of industries from mining, oil and gas, food processing, real estate, and more recently his passion for Healthcare. Currently, the President and Founder of The Steele Family Foundation, his global experiences in philanthropic endeavours for children have strengthened his resolve to build a patient-focused healthcare company based on the principles of trust and transparency.
